On the road again...

Well, Dane is now 3 months and 1 week and in mere days will embark on his first cross country trip! Mom is a little more than scared about carting him across the nation on an airplane full of germie people and less that ideal conditions, (cruising at 30,000 feet isn't really part of our bedtime routine!) But with a lot of prayers and a whole lot of hope, we will happily make it Virginia without too much trouble! Don't worry Alabama family, I promise we'll bring the Baby Dane show down there for a visit soon too! In the meantime, we are missing daddy (in the desert training) and looking forward to Dane meeting his cousins Jonah and Baby Maren:) We love you all and can't wait to see you!

Blurry, but with mommy:)

Dane's 1st competitive sport!

Dane, by default, joined a bowling league! Our 1st couples bowling extravaganza kicked off last weekend and the Southworth's came to win! (But didn't!) We did have our little good luck charm on hand and covered in hand sanitizer!

In other news, Dane is smiling on cue and trying his hardest to walk and crawl, despite the fact that he can't hold up his torso on his own just yet. He's growing so big already! And soon he'll be taking his first airplane ride to see his cousins in Virginia for the very first time! Mom's terrified, but Dane's very excited and is promising to only scream a little on the plane:)

2 month check up!

I can't believe Dane's already 2 months old! Monday he had his 2 month check up and he's doing great! Dane is now 12 pounds and 24 inches long! He's in the 60th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height and according to his doctor, "growing beautifully"! He smiles all the time now and coos constantly. We think he'll be talking before too long! Mom and Dad (especially Mom) are happy to say that Dane is sleeping great! He goes to bed early, wakes once in the middle of the night to eat and is mom's alarm clock in the morning around 7. He's so wonderful! We miss you all and can't wait for you to see how much he's grown! Love you all....

Welcome Home Chad!

Yesterday the Southworth family went to the base to welcome home Uncle Chad who returned from Iraq after a 6 month deployment. Here's daddy and Dane on the flight line next to the C-130J that brought our boys home.
